Dear Beloved,
Hello! I hope this letter finds you well as you rejoice in the Lord and remain victorious in your faith. I just wanted to take this time to inform you about the opportunity that God has opened up for me to serve on a missions trip this winter.
I will be going to serve in the nation of Bangladesh with my church, “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com), from January 28 to February 4 with a team of 11 members. We will be preaching the Gospel to people in unreached villages, and ministering to different Christian congregations that are in the capital, Dhaka.
The people of Bangladesh are considered to be the largest unreached people group in the world—89% of the population is Muslim, and only 0.3% of the population are Christians. At first I was somewhat daunted by those numbers, but God has shown me that the harvest in Bangladesh is plenty! My team and I have the amazing honor to tell the Bengali people about the saving power of Jesus Christ and see not only their lives, but also see the nation transformed by the freedom that comes from His love, power, and grace.
This past year God has worked so powerfully in my life in ways that I never expected. I have seen, learned, and experienced what it means to live in complete freedom in the Lord. God has showered me with an abundance of blessings within this past year, and I am so excited and honored to share everything that I received with the people of Bangladesh.
I hope that you share in my enthusiasm and excitement, and I invite you to partner with me for this trip! First, I would like to ask you for your prayers. It is important that my team and I are covered in prayer as we prepare, while we’re on the field, and also after we return. Secondly, you can partner with me financially as I will be support raising 750,000 KRW (around $700) to cover the trip expenses in addition to my personal deposit of 750,000KRW.
