To Bring Big Change in His name

He thwarts the plans of the crafty so that their hands achieve no success. He catches the wise in their craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are swept away. Darkness comes upon them in the daytime; at noon they grope as in the night. He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth; he saves them from the clutches of the powerful. So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth”

Dear Supporter,

How are you? I hope all is well. I want to take this time to share with you about a mission trip that I’ll be taking part in this winter. From Dec 27 to Jan 3, 2014, I will be in New Delhi, India serving on a mission trip with my church “New Philadelphia” (www.newphiladelphiachurch.com ) with a team consisting of 11 servant hearted leaders who have given up their vacation days to go to serve in New Delhi. We will be primarily be working at an orphanage called Grace Home for Children where we will be helping the staff, teaching classes, holding prayer meetings and revival services. We will also be going into New Delhi for outreaches to children who live in the slums.

India is the second most populated country in the world with 1.21 billion people and a significant part of the population are children. It is estimated that there are 20million orphans in India, 4% or higher of which live in Delhi.

My mission to New Delhi is the result of Gods continuous transforming power. India has always been the last place I ever wanted to visit but God has placed me there to do his work. I believe that God is continuing to grow me and is teaching me how to die to myself, to make my life all about Him. I realized in prayer that God had been setting me up for India after feeling stirred reading a book titled “No Longer a Slumdog” a few months ago. I remember telling God that I want to be used bring hope to orphans and be a weapon to bring down the system that’s destroying these children at a young age. I am very excited to see God move through our team, minister with love to the children and have powerful services.

I hope that you see my heart and enthusiasm about the upcoming mission trip.  I feel encouraged at the idea that you are willing to partner with me in this mission. You can partner with me in two ways; first, I’d like to ask you for prayers throughout my preparation and the duration of the trip. If you go to www.facebook.com/newphilly there will be daily updates from the field of our team’s progress. This way you can stay engaged and see how you have been able to do the work with us. Second, is through finances. I will be raising about $1,200 dollars for the trip to cover some of the trips expense. I’m excited to hear whether you will partner with me in this work, talk to you soon!

         Thank you for reading!
