I hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and rejoicing in the Lord because he is glorious, hope and joy, love and peace and life. I am writing to share with you about the mission trip that I will be serving in. I am filled with excitement and anxious to see what God has prepared me for.
I can’t believe 2014 is already coming to an end, New Philly Sydney’s opening service feels like it was two months ago but its been over six months already I guess time flies when you’re having fun. This year will forever be one of the most important years of my life because I came to Christ earlier this year woohoooo!!!. There wasn’t a day where I was filled with the Holy Spirit or felt the strong presence of God and immediately became a Christian, it was through my active participation within the church and being surrounded by the community of believers my heart started to shift to a place where the idea of a God wasn’t so crazy.
A team of 14 of us will be going to Angeles City, Philippines to minister at local churches from the 23rd to 30th of January. We have a very unique team because half of us will be flying out from Sydney, Australia and the other half will be flying from Seoul, Korea. I look forward to seeing different skills and attributes each team member bring to the trip. I’ve always overheard people talking about all the powerful things that come out of New Philly mission trips. The moment I heard Sydney was going to be sending out troops to the missions fields I was the first one to sign up with out even checking my work schedule because I trusted in God to make a way for me to go no matter what. As a new believer it is my hope that this missions trip will deepen and grow my faith in the Lord. I’m excited to witness God move in supernatural ways to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.
