I’m truly thankful that you’re taking the time to read this letter :) It is my absolute joy to share the things on my heart regarding the upcoming months ahead!
For the last 7 years I have been on a journey to get to know and grow to love Jesus, God and Holy Spirit. Before I met God, I did not grow up knowing Him, nor did I ever seek to find Him. But He did know me, He did seek me, and once He found me I understood what it meant to be loved and to love in return. As I have matured in my faith, it has been a growing desire for me to see His love extend beyond myself and beyond my city to the rest of the world.
On January 23-30th 2015 I will finally have an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. My home church “New Philadelphia Church” will be sending a team of 13 to Ángeles City in the Philippines. Our time there will be dedicated to: Revival services to empower youth of local congregations., ministering and praying for the sick at NPWM churches and empowering pastors and church leaders.
Although the name Ángeles is derived from the Spanish El Pueblo de los Ángeles ("The Town of the Angels”) this city is now infamous for its red light districts. It breaks my heart to see a city of lost people but I know the power of the gospel is real. The truth that we carry has the power to bind up the broken-hearted and set captives free. I truly believe lives will be changed forever in this city.
