“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied……Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

December 29, 2010

Beloved family and friends:

Only a few days remain for 2010! I pray God’s blessings for you abound through out this year and into 2011. For me, it was an ‘extreme’ kind of year, as I was extremely busy, stirred, and stretched in faith. At times, I didn’t think I’d make it but God is good and extends Grace over us. And while I am thankful for all that He has done this year, I'm not content and find myself hungering for more. When you've tasted the good stuff, you're going to want more.^^

And so, it is with a heart of excitement and expectation that I share that I will be on a 9-day mission trip to India with my church – New Philadelphia - at the end of January (Jan 28 - Feb 5). Our team of 14 will spend a few days in New Delhi visiting orphanages and then travel to Manipur, an isolated state in northeastern India bordering Myanmar. to serve and minister to the local people there, in praying for the sick, extending the love of Jesus Christ holding revival services and most importantly equipping them to minister on their own as children of God.

This will be my 3rd trip to India. On my last mission trip to India, which was in January of this year, we saw God use us to heal (both physical and inner healing) many of the people we met, even flight attendants en route. At the same time, my heart broke because so many in this nation live without hope, in defeat accepting what’s visible in front of them. A local pastor who runs an orphanage commented that there is a caste of beggars, who spend entirety of their life literally on the street. They are born on the streets and expect to die on the street. And so it is difficult to get these children to even come to the orphanage. They’ve never experienced life off the streets to know what it is to want off it.

I believe God doesn’t just improve conditions. He transforms lives. And I believe this is true for India. Please join me in contending for His Promises for India, foremost in prayer. Prayer is the most effective and powerful way in which you can partner with me before and during my trip . If you would like to sign up as a prayer partner, please let me know via signing up on the support site (http://support.newphilly.cc) and I will send out my prayer requests. In addition, I am called to raise 900,000 KRW in financial support to cover partial expenses. Instructions for providing support in both Korean / US payments are included on the site.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this letter. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in 2011.

Blessings & lots of love,

Young-Hye Erin Lee
