Deep inside our hearts there is the desire to love and to be loved. To be embraced. To be told that we are worthy. That our lives have values and purposes.
I remember a visit to an orphanage in my previous trip to Indonesia. The children were so pure, but their lives were trapped by poverty, abandonment by their parents, and questions about their own identities. As we spent time with them, sharing the message of God's love and protection, praying for and hugging as many of them as we can, the children just broke out crying. We couldn't do much, but we did deposit a seed of hope in their hearts, believing that the Father will continue to nurture them and bring forth beautiful sprouts in the future.
This spring, I will continue this journey to bring His heart to the nations. Would you like to partner with me? :)
From January 30th to February 7th, our team of 11 will go to Nepal, the hidden kingdom in the Himalayas. The name itself already sounds exotic, promising adventure and amazement, but the country carries many scars from idolatry practices, human trafficking, and bonded labor. We will reach out to love and serve the Nepali people, to honor and empower the local pastors who are ministering to the Tibetan refugees. And as God is the God of the impossible, we expect to see His love and power pour out in radical ways.
