Dear beloved,
Hello! How are you? I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take this time to share with you about a mission trip that I’ll be serving in this Christmas season.
From December 26th to December 31st 2016, I will be in Nepal serving on a mission trip with my church New Philadelphia (newphiladelphiachurch.com). Nepal is a south Asian country bordered by China and India, and contains a part of the Himalayan mountain range. In addition, Nepal is home to eight out of ten of the world’s tallest mountains, including Mount Everest, the highest point on earth!
My team consists of 12 individuals who are giving up their vacation days and free time to display the love of Jesus Christ to this nation. Christians make up less than 2% of the population in Nepal, so our trip will focus on empowering the diverse Nepali Christian and Tibetan Christian refugee communities (who face much persecution because of their faith) across the capital city of Kathmandu and its surrounding areas. Our main objective will be to pour out love onto this nation and unto its people. We plan to preach the Gospel, lead worship and revival services, see miracles happen, witness lives changed, and hear great testimonies of God’s glory and power; however, the greatest mission will be to extravagantly display the loving heart of Christ to both the Christian and non-Christian people of Nepal. Even if we show up and move Mount Everest, this would be meaningless if we do not have love.
