Hello! I hope this letter finds you well. I can hardly believe it is the end of 2013 already! I sincerely hope your year has been filled with joy. This past year,I got to be a part of a powerful, vibrant church called New Philadelphia. I wanted to share a little news with you about something exciting that I get to be a part of in the weeks to come.
From January 31- February 10, I will be going to Chennai, India on a mission trip with my church “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com). Our team is made up of 10 AMAZING people who are excited about giving up our vacation days to serve the people of Chennai. Specifically, we will be helping out with leadership training, school outreach, and revival services. This is the first time our church is sending a team to this area. We will be partnering with a local pastor who has been involved with Native Partners for World Mission (NPWM) for years.
Interesting facts about Chennai are:
1. Chennai has about 4.68 million residents, making it the sixth most populous city in India.
2. Christians make up about 7.6 %of Chennai.
3. Thomas, the apostle of Jesus, died near Chennai, and his body was buried there.
