Dear friends!
2015 has definitely had its fair share of growing pains, but as I write this letter to you, I can’t help but recognise that I have been purely brought to this point by the grace of God. I wanted to take a brief moment to share with you what this all means.
In short, the person of Jesus and his love for his people has become so undeniably real and significant in my life that I feel compelled to share this news with others. From January 12th to the 22nd, I will be heading out to Los Angeles along with 12 leaders from my church - New Philadelphia Church - to minister to the local churches of LA, with a specific focus on youth and young adults. We will be going with the intention of sharing the word, praying for and speaking life over them, and loving on them in the same way Christ loves us. Having said this, we are excited in believing that God will no doubt exceed our plans and our expectations.
As you would have gathered, LA isn’t located in a third world country. The demographic we will be ministering to will vary from different walks of life, but at the same time, it won’t be vastly different from the kind of upbringing that you or I would have had. Having said this, I believe there are many who yearn and thirst to encounter the Father – Christians, non-Christians and prodigals alike, and it’s my prayer that there will be a personal revival in their hearts that will lead to a revival in the churches.
This will not just be my first ministry trip with New Philly, but will be my first ministry trip with any church, and I would love for you to be a part of my trip.
