Dear Supporter,
As the apostle Paul began most of his letters: “Grace to you and peace from God our Father.” I do hope that this letter finds you and your family in the center of God’s supernatural grace and peace. I’m writing to you to share about an exciting and powerful missions trip that I have the privilege of serving on this summer.
From July 23 to July 30, I will be in the nation of Myanmar (bordering to the south of China, east of India, and the west of Thailand) serving on a missions trip with my church “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com). My team consists of 13 young adults who truly love the Lord and love to be a part of God’s kingdom invading Earth.
Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, has just recently been released from 4 decades of a corrupt military rule. Presently, the nation still suffers from corruption in the ruling elite and organized crime activities (ex: drug and human trafficking). Nevertheless, we know that God is there in Myanmar doing a mighty work, and we can’t wait to jump in and be a part of it!
If you’ve heard of or been on a missions trip with New Philly, you may be aware that we take seriously what Jesus says in Matthew 10:1 and 28:19. Jesus gave His disciples “authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” We believe that He has given His Church that authority today as well, and we are obeying His call as He has told us to “go and make disciples of all nations” by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
This is actually my first missions trip with New Philadelphia Church. I am so excited to see in what way God wants to expand His kingdom in Myanmar, and in what way He wants me to join Him in doing this. I hope your heart is getting stirred up as you read this letter, just as mine is getting stirred up as I write it.

Secondly, I will be raising 1,600,000 krw ($1,400) to cover the trip expenses. I would be very blessed by any financial support that you feel the Lord leading you to give as well.
