Because of the Gospel, send me!

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”

Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.

Isaiah 6:8

Dear Family, Friends, Supporters and Prayer Warriors,

I hope this letter finds you well! I want to share about some exciting things that have been going on in my life with you! Early this month, I was able to go to a conference that gathered together native pastors from different countries in Southeast Asia and Africa that are supported by our mother church, Jeil Sung Do Church and other Korean churches through an organization called NPWM (Native Partners for World Missions). Through the conference and different sharing times, the native pastors were able to share about each of their respective nations, testimonies, prayer requests, and also their vision for their ministries. It was inspiring and humbling at the same time. These men and women have dedicated their lives to see the people of their nation come to the Lord and for some, their lives could be in danger but they still continue to preach the Gospel.

Spending time with the native pastors reawakened my heart. Their sacrifices and testimonies helped me to reevaluate what was in my heart and where my priorities were. I was reminded once again how precious and important the Gospel is to each person and nation. And God is blessing me with an opportunity to see the Gospel, His love and power at work in the nation of Myanmar. My church, New Philadelphia Church (newphiladelphiachurch.com), is sending out 10 people to Yangon and Pyinoolwin, Myanmar from January 30 to February 6.

Our team will be going to Evangel Bible College in Yangon and Immanuel Bible College in Pyinoolwin to encourage and edify the students there as they are training up to be apart of God’s plan to see His kingdom expand in Myanmar. We will also be connecting with the local churches, ministering to the people there, leading revival meetings to see God’s fire pour out and praying for the sick. This will be my first trip to Myanmar but knowing the testimonies of previous missions trips there, I know that God’s love for this nation is strong and that I can expect to see God move powerfully to show His love for His people in Yangon and in Pyinoolwin.

I hope that as you were reading this letter, your heart was also being stirred up for what God is doing in the nations. I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider two requests. The first, I would like to ask you for your prayers.  Knowing personally the power of prayer, I literally covet your prayers (James 5:16). J I would like to ask for prayer covering not only for while I am on the field but also during the preparation time and after I return. Please let me know if you would like to partner with me in this way. You can also follow the team’s time in Yangon by going to facebook.com/newphilly to be updated on praise reports and prayer requests. Second, the total trip cost is 1,700,000 KRW, and after my own personal contribution, I need to raise 1,360,000 KRW. Would you like to financially sow not only into my trip but also into what God is doing in Yangon? Please do not feel obligated but prayerfully consider my requests. If you would like to give financially, please visit support.newphilly.cc to support me directly there.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.  God bless!

                                                               Faith, Hope & Love,
