Hi! I hope this letter finds you healthy and rejoicing in the Lord! I write to you to share about a mission trip to Nepal that I’m joining for this winter. My personal vision for this trip is to witness what God is doing in Nepal and to share my experience with others. Although I’ve been attending New Philadelphia Church for a long time, this will be my first mission trip with the community. I’m excited!
From Dec.26 to Dec.31, my team of 12 will be traveling to Nepal to share Christ’s love. We will focus on empowering the diverse Nepali Christian and Tibetan Christian refugee communities across the capital city of Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. We also want to encourage local pastors who are faithfully serving the Lord. We are praying for God’s Kingdom to be established in Nepal! Even though it’s only for a few days, we are honored and privileged to serve His people in the name of our Lord!
On April 25, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, violently shaking the entire nation. The natural disaster killed more than 8,000 people and destroyed thousands of homes. God’s heart broke for the despairing Nepalis. Our team will plant the seeds of hope for Christianity in Nepal and to encourage and to support the Nepalis. We pray that many will find their faith in Christ alone and not in other false gods or idols. We want to share God’s love for this nation.
