[Winter'16] Partner with Tae to Bless Nepal!

Hi everyone!

Peace and grace of God to you! Thank you for your time and interest in what the Lord is doing in my life.

In June 2015, I arrived in Seoul, Korea to serve at an orphanage. I thought I was coming just to give and to pour, but little did I know, that God would place me in my wonderful church, “New Philadelphia.” Through this community, God brought powerful breakthroughs and solidified me to be deeply rooted in Him. My heart is to share this overflowing love I received with His people.

I’m excited to share with you that from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, I’m going on a short term mission trip to Nepal with my church. My team of 12 is joyfully offering their vacation and savings to share the love of Christ with the Nepalis. During this trip, we are partnering with a local pastor to encourage newly planted churches and the body. In addition, we are preaching the gospel to non-believers and holding revival services in small villages around Kathmandu. We are beyond excited!

Personally for me, I am thrilled for this trip, because I believe that the gospel is very real, precious and needed for many believers in Nepal. Christians in Nepal today experience heavy persecution. Many believers are violated, rejected and cursed by their own family, friends and the society. Despite harsh treatment, many are holding onto the promise of God, the eternal life with Him. This much more, the gospel is real and precious to Nepali believers; they are choosing the gospel over their lives.

In 2015, Nepal passed a law that basically bans any form of religious evangelism. While preaching the gospel results in unequal punishment for Christians, Nepal has one of the fastest growing Christian populations in the world today. In 1951, Nepal listed no Christians, but in 2001, there were nearly 102,000. A decade later, the number tripled to more than 375,000. God is moving! I also learned that many of the converts in Nepal come from the lower caste. Jesus says in Matthew 25:40, whatever we do for the “least of these,” we do it to Him. We are ministering to God Himself!

To the poor, the gospel is their wealth. To the starving, the gospel is their food. To the overlooked, the gospel is their value. To the persecuted, the gospel is their life. I want to learn from the Nepali believers, to treasure Him above all and to remember the joy of salvation!

I hope your hearts are stirred as well for the Nepalis! I ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this trip. One way you can partner with me is through prayer. Nepal is a nation with heavy idol worship and satanic ruling. Our team and the Nepalis are in need of your prayers. We will post daily updates on our facebook.com/newphilly page during our trip; your prayers are powerful! The second way you can partner with me is through financial support. I need to raise 800,000krw ($800) to cover some of the trip expenses. If you would like to partner with me this way, please make a pledge of the amount on this site (left side). More instructions will follow.

Thank you for reading!

Much love,

Tae
