Hello!
2016 felt like a year of stretching. I’m sure you can relate. And while I was tempted to say ‘Not again Lord?’ many times, I’m filled with thanksgiving because of the goodness of God.
In all honesty, it took many repeated encounters with a Saviour who knows me, understands me and loves me in order for me to get this truth - that he gave himself for us so that we would experience life walking with Him. And life with Him, in relation with Him, it’s quite simply the best thing ever! I want to share this truth with people.
From December 26th to the 31st, I will be travelling to Chennai, India with 12 leaders from my church - New Philadelphia Church so that we would be a blessing to the local churches and schools of Chennai. We will be going with the intention of ministering to and loving on brothers and sisters of different castes, and do whatever that would entail, in sharing the Word, praying for and speaking words of life over them, and to help establish a space to host the presence of God.
My personal desire is for the brothers and sisters of Chennai to behold the person of Jesus, and encounter the personal love that He has for them. Whether they have a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus, or they have never known Him, I believe that the Father wants to release a fresh comprehension and wonder at just how much He loves his children.
I’m really hoping that you’ll share in my commitment. I went to Los Angeles, USA last year as part of a ministry trip, and as such this will be just my second trip with New Philly, and the first trip where I’ll get to have the opportunity to be a blessing in a culture and to a people group that are profoundly different to my own upbringing and experience.
