Greetings, family and friends!
Hello from Seoul, Korea! I hope you have been doing well
lately. I would love to catch up with you sometime before
long! The past several months have been quite a whirlwind
for me as I finished school, moved to Korea, and started my
professional career as a full-time musician. Most exciting,
however, has been seeing God work in truly powerful ways within
my life as well as in my church community here in Seoul.
The body of believers at New Philadelphia Church is a group
of imperfect people who are radically committed to following our
perfect God and building his kingdom here on earth while eagerly
anticipating the eternal kingdom to come.
I write this letter to earnestly ask for your partnership in
prayer and/or financial support towards a trip that I will be
taking with several fellow church leaders to Nepal. From
December 26 - January 1, our team will be partnering with a local
Nepalese pastor and his church affiliates. We will be
ministering in the capital city of Kathmandu as well as a few
outlying villages. While we certainly intend to exhibit and
communicate the power of the Gospel in many different ways, the
primary focus of this trip will be revival and evangelism.
The nation of Nepal – and particularly Kathmandu – is still
reeling from the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake of April
2015. Almost 9,000 people died and many thousands of homes
and buildings were flattened that day. The resulting social
and economic effects have been extremely significant as Nepal
lacks the resources to quickly rebound from such a disaster.
In this overwhelmingly Hindu nation, less than 2% of the
population ascribes to Christianity.
Our team hopes to provide an impetus to build up the local church
and to empower and encourage its leaders. However, we would
be foolish to attempt this without the support of the global
Church. I ask that you consider committing this trip to
regular prayer. Spiritual covering is very important for
our team as well as those to whom we will be ministering.
If you are interested in being included, I will be sending
periodic updates before and after the trip concerning details and
specific prayer requests. Additionally, I ask that you
consider contributing financially to this trip. I am
raising funds with a goal of 800,000 KRW (~680 USD) which amounts
to approximately half of the trip costs.
I am very excited to see how God will be glorified in Nepal
through this ministry, and I hope that you might share in some of
that eager anticipation with me!
Peace,
Aaron Krumsieg
Jesus said to them, “It is not
for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own
authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes
on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After he said
this, he was taken up before their very eyes. - Acts
1:7-9
