From January 23 – January 30th, I, along with a team of 11 people will be sent out to Tokyo Japan! This is not just a standard ministry trip, but we are a dance-based troop that will partner with local ministries, and share the gospel through outreach and evangelism. Each week since mid October, our team has been practicing choreography, receiving missions training, and praying into our trip. We are standing on the truth of God’s word as well as the countless testimonies of how God has worked powerfully on the field. We are expectant!
On a more personal note, this is a very special trip for me. For one, I remember in elementary school, I would point to Japan on the map and say that one day I’d go there as a missionary — I mean, what a full circle moment! Two, dance has a special place in my heart. For those who know my dance journey, I’ve been taking a break for about 5 months and Japan will be a launching pad to get my feet wet again. I believe that God loves the arts and He loves Japan. When I pray, John 3:16 starts to burn in my heart! I believe that God will move in powerful, supernatural ways to release his presence, revelations of Christ, and his love, which conquers all.
Currently, less than 1% of the Japanese population is Christian. That is a heart-breaking reality that God desires to see change in.
