“And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Luke 10:2

Dear Friend,
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about my upcoming mission trip.
This past summer, I went on my very first missions trip to Myanmar! I got to see first hand people who were so committed to the Gospel and so convinced of the love of God that they couldn’t keep quite despite the rule of a government that directly opposes their faith. I visited bible colleges that were surrounded by Buddhist temples. The hunger the people of Myanmar have for God is real and tangible.
It is from this revelation that I embark on my second trip: Cambodia! As with the believers in Myanmar, Cambodia has churches that hunger and seek the Lord, despite opposition and in the face of transitions. From January 28- February 4, myself along with an amazing team of 11 will minister in Kampot Province which is two hours outside of Phnom Penh at Cambodia Word of Hope Church with Pastor Kimeng. Pastor Kimeng has planted many churches, oversees a youth outreach and has an orphan care program. Due to the violence that Cambodia has experienced including the Killing Fields and the Khmer Rouge, Pastor Kimeng is in an opportune place to be a vessel of God’s redemptive work. It is the heart of New Philadelphia Church to help him in his efforts.
This is where you come in. The harvest is big but there are so few workers. The work to be done to restore Cambodia is a large one that Pastor Kimeng can not do on his own. I am asking you to take advantage of this opportunity to join in the awesome work that God is doing in Cambodia. You can support me by praying for my team during our time in Cambodia. If you go to www.facebook.com/newphilly, you can check out updates from the field and pray specifically. You can also support me financially. I must raise 1,300,000 won ($1300 total) to cover the expenses of this trip. Although we can’t all physically be on the mission field, I ask instead for your support through prayers and finances to strengthen the hands of us who will go. In short, I am asking you to partner with me and my team as we reap a harvest. If you are interested in partnering with me in prayer or financially, please feel free to make a pledge/donation on this site. Thank you for taking to time to read this letter and God bless!
Yours in Christ,
Candice
