“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!” Psalm 24: 9-10
Dear friend!
I’ve already spent 5 months in Korea! I hope that these past few months have been full of blessings and victories for you. For me it’s been a period of settling in that has been marked with so much of God’s favor and goodness. I feel very settled in now and am looking ahead to the coming season of spiritual growth and maturity.
After going on missions in January, I wasn’t sure whether I would sign up for the summer missions season at New Philadelphia Church, where I am now officially a member and will soon become a leader-in-training, but how could I not? My plans to pop by Melbourne for a week during the summer were cancelled and I signed up to serve at the Jerusalem Ministries Orphanage soccer camp and summer missions over my two week summer break from work.
For one week, from Friday, July 26th until Friday, August 2nd I will be part of a team from New Philadelphia Church, an English-speaking ministry located in Seoul, Korea, going to General Santos in the Philippines. General Santos is located on the south-eastern coast of Mindanao Island in the Filipino archipelago (near the bottom of the Philippines) and is known as the tuna capital! In January 2011, New Philadelphia Church sent a team to minister in this region. It was a trip marked by joy!
During our week in Gen San, our main focus will be leading an Orientation Retreat for students at Faith Bible Institute. Our hope is to empower these students with the New Philly anointing and establishing them in their callings. Then we will go with these students and minister to the people of Gen San at revival services.
As part of our preparation, along with my own deposit of 500,000
krw, I must raise an additional 500,000 krw to
contribute towards the overall costs of this mission trip. Please
consider whether you would like to partner with me and the team
on this amazing trip through financial support! Because it isn’t
a large amount, I am only asking those closest to me and I know
will support me in prayer as well!
For those who would like to support the team in prayer, you will
be able to receive mission updates and prayer topics during the
trip.
If you feel led to support me through prayer and/or financial support, please donate through this website. Please feel free to contact me regarding support or the trip in general. Your support will be greatly appreciated and I know that you will be blessed through witnessing what God does in the Philippines. We receive more than we give!
Thank you for your love and support. God bless you!
Your Brother in Christ,
Daniel Kim
