This coming January, I will be going on my first mission trip to General Santos, Philippines from January 23 to 30. It has been almost three years since I first committed myself to New Philadelphia Church (www.newphiladelphiachurch.com). By serving in different capacities, first in the service team and now as part of the praise team, I have seen how faithful and loving God is the more we are willing to step out in faith to love others. I am also learning to serve in the confidence of His unconditional love for us. It has been a joy to partner with what God is doing and I am excited to have the opportunity to step out to the mission field.
I wanted to ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in both prayer and finances. I know for sure that this exciting opportunity will only happen through both the prayer support and the sowing in finances from this community. Regarding finances, I need to raise a total of 1,400,000 won for expenses in the next couple of weeks, and have personally sown in 420,000 won. I would be thankful if you could consider sowing into this trip. You can do this by following the instructions below.
If you consider sowing, please send in your pledge via EFT if you are living in Korea or Paypal if you are living outside of Korea, and then e-mail missions@newphilly.cc with 1. Your name, 2. The team name (General Santos), 3. Who you are supporting (my name), and 4. The date and time you sent your EFT.
Regarding prayer, our team will be going to General Santos to partner with the established ministries there. We will be strengthening and encouraging the pastors of Faith Tribal Ministry. These pastors oversee churches and disciple people from the remote tribes of Mindanao. Our team will additionally be ministering to the students of Faith Bible College, holding revival services, and praying for the sick. I would like to specifically ask for covering for each and every one of our team members as we step out in faith to serve the community. You can also check out our facebook page (www.facebook.com/newphilly) for updates during the trip.
