Seasons greetings! I hope you are enjoying this season and that it is filled with peace and joy.
It’s hard to believe that this is already my second year here in Korea. Who knew that I would fall in love with the motherland? I certainly didn’t. My post-college life has been amazing thanks to the extraordinary communities I got plugged into at work and at church. New Philadelphia Church has challenged me in so many ways, opening my eyes to see how real God is and continually moving in miracles, signs, and wonders. Even as I’ve been serving on the church plant team, it’s a crazy testimony in how God used us to plant a church in Itaewon and grow our church in a matter of months. It’s an exciting time to be in Korea where God is working in glorious ways!
This winter during the Lunar New Year holiday, New Philadelphia Church is sending out three teams to the Philippines and India. From January 30th to February 5th, I will be serving on the missions trip to India with a team of thirteen. It’s an incredible team of church leaders with a great heart to father the fatherless and overflow the love of our God. During the trip, we will be working with Native Partners for World Mission (NPWM), which is the organization our head pastor’s wife founded. With the connections made with pastors and churches in New Delhi and Manipur, we will be holding revival servicesand possibly ministering to children in orphanages. Being my first missions trip with New Philly, I am extremely excited to witness the grace of God abounding as demonstrations of the Spirit’s power is revealed.
India proudly claims the birth of four religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism – which are followed by 25% of the world’s population. Meanwhile, only 2% are Christians. In the land where the people proclaim their motto as “Truth Alone Triumphs,” the one and only truth must be unveiled.
I hope that you will share in my enthusiasm and expectant spirit for this trip! Please join me in praying for this nation and for my missions trip.
