Shalom!
From February 4th to 11th, I will be in Malaysia serving on a missions trip with my church “New Philadelphia” (www.newphiladelphiachurch.com). My team consists of thirteen servant-hearted people who are giving up their vacation days and free time to go and display the love of Jesus Christ. The main focus of our ministry will be to build upon the work established through our Summer 2011 team. We will be ministering in the longhouses of the Borneo region, edifying church communities such as the Bible School youth- many of whom had been abandoned by their families for following Christ.
According to Joshua Project, Malaysia’s primary religion is Islam with 61.9% of the population. Malaysia is also part of the 10/40 window and about 46% of all people groups are considered unreached. As our God is a God who goes from glory to greater glory (Haggai 2:9), I personally want to see God move in ways that I’ve never seen before. I am expecting more healings, salvations and testimonies of God’s love penetrating the hearts of the Malaysians.
Will you join me in reaching Malaysia? There are two ways in which you can partner with me on this missions trip. First, I’d like to ask you for prayer. If you go to facebook.com/newphilly, there will be daily updates from the field of our team’s progress so you can pray specifically. Secondly, I will be raising 1,125,000 KRW (in addition to my own 375,000 KRW) to cover some of the trip expenses.
Thank you for reading all the way! I am excited God has given me the opportunity to partner with you! God bless you!
Until the Whole World Hears,
David Ahn
