Beloved,
Greetings! What a wonderful time it is to not only be in Christ, but to be here in South Korea! God is definitely doing a wonderful thing in the nations, and I’m so humbled and glad to be a part of it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter – I’m thankful for your continued support, encouragement, and friendship. I’m writing you because I desire to share some ministry opportunities coming up in the next two months that I would love your involvement in. I hope that this letter blesses you, stirs up excitement, and encourages you as you continue to read on!
Ministering to the hurt, broken, and lost has always been a burning desire in my heart. Being a person who knows what it is like to live on the street, once addicted to drugs and alcohol, I cherish the ability to go out and minister to those who the world deems unlovable and unworthy. In a little over two weeks, I have the privilege of being sent to Pastor Benjamin and Sunhee Robinson’s church, Living Hope Christian Center in Emeryville, CA, where two others along with myself will be serving as interns from June 12th to July 5th. Part of our time will be spent doing urban missions in Oakland, CA, while the rest of our time will be spent shadowing the Living Hope leadership, gleaning and learning as much as we can for their anointed leaders!
Then, two weeks after we return, I will be heading out again – this time with a team of 12 to the nation of Malaysia, in order to set the captive free, preach the good news, and to encourage the indigenous believers on the beautiful Borneo Island! I’ll be preaching almost every single day, and I am hungry to see God’s love poured out in a fresh way! Malaysia is a nation that is stirring and hungry to see the youth released into revival, so trust me when I say that God is going to do something powerful in Malaysia!
But I don’t mention this for my own benefit. Jesus told the disciples to pray for workers for the harvest (Luke 10:2), and the believers in the book of Acts not only sent out the apostles in prayer, but they did so backing them even financially (Acts 4:35). I’ve given as much as I am financially able (as an Intern Pastor, I am not paid a salary), but the need is still great. I need to raise 2,850,000krw ($2600 USD) in the next 2 weeks.
