Hi friends,
How are you? I hope this letter finds you happy and healthy! I wanted to take this time to share with you about a missions trip I will be serving on this summer.
When praying about where to serve, the one thing I asked God was to not send me to a developing nation. My two previous missions trips have been to destinations that was somewhat familiar but still out of my comfort zone. Therefore, this time around I was determined to go somewhere more “comfortable.” God however had a different plan for me. When my church, New Philadelphia Church (www.newphiladelphiachurch.com) announced our summer missions locations (Australia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Japan), I confidently applied to go to Australia thinking, “Yes, God has heard my prayers.”
Exactly one week after handing in my missions application I woke up with God’s voice clearly telling me “I am giving you Myanmar.” That morning I went to our weekly Sunday prayer meeting and my pastor led a powerful time of intercession for Myanmar and I knew that God wanted me to go there at this hour. I tried to block out God’s voice but I knew that I could no longer deny the power of His command. With every word I prayed, confirmation followed. My heart was stirred and knowing that my vacation days did not match those of the Myanmar trip, I stepped out in faith. Days later, I discovered that the Myanmar trip dates had suddenly changed, and now they perfectly fit my schedule.
On July 22nd, I will be leaving for Myanmar with a group of 13 servant-hearted people. We will be partnering with local pastors to boldly pray for the power of God to fill Myanmar. Together we will be hosting revival services, sharing testimonies, contending for supernatural healings, salvations, restoring hope and showing the people of Myanmar that God has not forgotten them. It is my hope to see the broken-hearted healed, the fatherless fathered, hope stirred up in the hearts of the people and joy as they build up their country for the glory of God. I also believe at this hour God is calling us forth to be carriers of His light into the darkness.
You may or may not know until recently Myanmar has been known as one of the most repressive and abusive military regimes in the world, often using child labor, human trafficking, forced labor and sexual violence as a means to control and intimidate its people. This past year however, we have seen a dramatic shift in the political sphere and I firmly believe that the time for Myanmar to arise and shine has come. My heart is filled with incredible joy and excitement when I think about what God is about to do in Myanmar. It is truly an honor to be chosen as a part of this team.

Secondly, I need to raise 750, 000 krw to cover some of the expenses of this trip.
