“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord
God is an everlasting rock.’” -- Isaiah 26:2-3 (ESV)
Greetings friend!
I pray that this letter finds
you well! I know that throughout this year God has been
molding and stretching everyone around me, and I can almost
tangibly feel the strain in my own life! But I know that
God is only doing so because He has so much MORE prepared for us,
and through the stretching, He’s expanding our cups for us to
receive it ALL! So if that’s been you during these past few
months, be encouraged! God is not finished yet!
My summer missions trip is yet
another chance for God to stretch me this year. Over the
past few months, God has been speaking to me very strongly about
peace. Isaiah 26:2-3 tells us that we can trust in the Lord
because He is an everlasting rock, and by trusting in Him, we can
be at perfect peace! There have been so many opportunites
for me to be overcome by distress or frustration, but the Lord
keeps asking me to trust in Him and to be at peace. As I
travel to Myanmar, I know that yet again, God is asking me to
trust in Him, and be at peace!
From July 23rd - 30th, I will
be going to Myanmar on my fourth missions trip with my church
family, New Philadelphia! My team has 13 members, each with
different backgrounds and stories to tell! I am especially
excited because of the opportunity I have to connect with members
of the church I don’t normally get to see! On top of that,
it has been a few years since we last went to Myanmar, and since
then, there have been many changes in the nation! I can’t
wait to see and partner with what God is doing in Myanmar!
I am blessed to once again
give you the opportunity to partner with me this summer! I
know that this missions trip will not only be a blessing to the
church of Myanmar, but also to all those who will hear about it!
By sowing into this trip with me, whether financially or in
prayer, you will now be that much more connected to and invested
in the fruit of this trip! You don’t need to be on the team
in order to be a part of God’s ministry in Myanmar! Your
support is a vital part of our missionary work! For this
trip, my personal fundraising goal is W1,125,000. As you
support me financially, I know that God is going to reveal
Himself even more clearly as your Provider! As you are led
to support me, whether in finances or in prayer, please register
here on this website!
Thank you so much for taking
the time to check out my support page, and I look forward to
sharing with you in the glory that God is about to release in
Myanmar! Blessings upon you!
Your brother in Christ,
John Matthew Ko
