It’s that exciting time of the year again – missions season!
This year, from Feb 7-14, I will be going to Dumaguete, with New Philadelphia Church with a team of 12 members. We will be partnering there with a local pastor to empower and encourage the local churches, do inner healing ministry, and hold revival services.
As you may already know, Typhoon Haiyan was one of the worst recorded typhoons in history, and Dumaguete was one of the hardest hit cities in the Philippines. Although most of the disaster relief will have been underway by the time our team arrives, we will need much grace and the supernatural move of the Holy Spirit to restore hope and healing to a people who have been devastated with lost homes and loved ones.
Would you help send me as a missionary and an ambassador of God’s love to release the revival power of the Holy Spirit? In praying for Dumaguete, the Lord burned Isaiah 43:3 on my heart:
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
I believe that although the enemy may have attempted to destroy the joy and spirit of the beloved Filipino people through the despair and devastation in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan, Jesus is fully present with them in their suffering and He will not allow the waves and the fire to consume them.
