Dear friends and family,
I hope you are enjoying 2015 with your loved ones as 2014 is behind us, bundled up in sweet and unforgettable memories. Just to share my upcoming plans to kick off 2015, this coming January, I will be going on a winter missions trip starting to Angeles City, Philippines, from January 23rd- 30th, accompanied by twelve other members from New Philadelphia Church’s Sydney and Seoul campuses.
I am writing this letter to you because each and every one of you is in my heart to encourage me in this life event. I have applied for this mission trip during a time, where I'm currently reevaluating my life and preparing for a new graduate school program. Thus far, I had been living for my selfish needs rather than for kingdom work. And, I believe this is the perfect moment where I can learn more about myself and my faith in Jesus!
The purpose of the missions trip is to strengthen the local church leaders and pastors and to revive and empower the youth with services and worship. New Philadelphia Church is a partner of NPWM (Native Partner For World Missions), which is an organization that is located in twenty different countries including Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and India. Through this wonderful organization, we partner with the local churches through annual missions trips and dedicated prayers. We believe in the supernatural healing of physical and spiritual wounds and we hope to tend to as many people as we can. The other part is to minister and pray for healing at the local churches in Angeles City, Philippines.
You would be aware how important a prayer in intercession is in the midst of spiritual attacks from the enemy. As much as in the natural a missions trip requires money in order to proceed, the spiritual currency is absolutely vital: prayers and faith. Through prayer and intercession a team sees fruit of greater works and covering without the enemy’s interference. I will be covering 480000KRW ($455 USD, $519AUD) from my private expenditure from the overall cost of the trip, 1200,000KRW, which is approximately $1145.20 USD and $1291.52 AUD. However, I will need help to cover the rest of 720,000KRW ($682USD, $778AUD). I would be very much grateful if you could support me in this journey either prayerfully or financially.
