Hello!
It’s already been more than two years since I’ve left Austin and moved to Korea. I miss everyone, and I hope you are all doing well!
Although I’ve moved here half-heartedly, all that God has promised me (especially family reconciliation) in Korea is truly coming to pass. It makes my tantrums of wanting to stay in Austin look ridiculous when I think about all the restoration that has happened here. I am deeply grateful, but more so in awe of all the good that has blossomed around me.
Even before becoming a christian, I wanted to bring aid to places that were less fortunate and unfamiliar to me. But over time, I let fear and insecurity bury that dream and deny it. After becoming christian, God dug it out of my heart, and I reencountered that dream. Now that dream is coming to fruition.
I have been given the opportunity to be part of a missions trip this winter with my church here in Korea, “New Philadelphia Church” (newphiladelphiachurch.com).
From January 23 to January 30, our team of twelve servant-hearted people are headed to Angeles City, Philippines. We will meet with the local pastors and leaders to encourage and empower them as well as minister to the youth of local congregations.
This is my first ever official missions trip! I am super excited to witness in person all that I have heard in testimonies thus far.
