Dear Beloved,
Hello! I hope this letter finds you well as you rejoice in the Lord and remain victorious in your faith. I just wanted to take this time to inform you about the opportunity that God has opened up for me to lead a team on a missions trip this winter.
I will be leading a team to serve in Malaysia with my church New Philadelphia, this upcoming winter from January 26 to February 2, with a team of 9 members. We will be partnering with local pastors and churches to participate in village outreaches.
More specifically, we will be going to Borneo, which is an island that is divided among 3 countries. During our trip, we will be spending time in the jungles of Borneo and reaching out to those who live in the longhouses. The majority of our ministry will be relationally connecting with the people there while holding revival services and praying for the sick. Previous teams from New Philly that have ministered in this area have brought back many testimonies of healing, so we are expectant that God will release even more of His healing power through our team as we get sent out.
We will be going through the missions organization Native Partners for World Mission (NPWM) where we get to partner alongside the indigenous pastors in what their ministries are doing in the area.
I am so excited & expectant for this trip! This will be my first time leading a trip with my church, so I am really anticipating what God will do through both the team and me personally. I am looking forward to see how God will continue to stretch me, not only in terms of leadership, but also growing in intimacy with Him as I connect with His heart for the team and for the people we will be ministering to.
I hope that you share in my enthusiasm and excitement, and I invite you to partner with me for this trip! First, I would like to ask you for your prayers. It is important for our team to be covered in prayer as we prepare, are sent out, and after we return. Also, because it is my first time leading, I would highly appreciate prayer for myself to be able to lead with wisdom, discernment, but also with the Father’s heart. Secondly, you can partner with me financially—the total cost of the trip is 1,400,00KRW (around $1400 USD). I have personally sown in as much as I am able, and I will need to raise the remaining amount of 800,000KRW ($900).
