What's Good in the Neighborhood!
How are you this lovely day? I hope you are doing well. I wanted to let you know about an exciting mission trip I have coming up this Winter Season.
From February 2nd - 11th I will be in Phnom Penh, Cambodia serving on missions with my church New Philadelphia Church (newphiladelphiachurch.com). Although this is My First Oversea Mission, and I am utterly terrified (thus the bible quote above), I am also excited and know this mission in particular was a calling to me. I will be going with a dedicated group of 12 powerful missionaries, where we plan to visit church plants in various villages and cities, praying for the sick, and reaching out to youth with dance outreach.
As you may have heard, Cambodia has a bloody history with the Communist Khmer Rouge. Where they tortured, murdered, and starved their very own people. Therefore, this country is in dire need of God’s love and grace.
This team is very special because a large portion of the group will be dancers. This will partially be a Dance Outreach Mission. As you probably know, dance is a huge part of my life. I literally discovered dancing while at church, so I feel like the Lord is finally calling me to do the same for the youth in Cambodia. I know that there are thousands of children who only need to see just one move to be saved from whatever darkness they may be in.
