“For I am not ashamed of the gospel,
for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
Hi! In February, I will be serving on my first ever missions trip! I‘m really looking forward to it and I’d love to share with you a little bit about it.
From Sunday, February 2 toTuesday, February 11, 2014, I will be in Phnom Penh, Cambodia serving as part of a 12 member missions team with my church New Philadelphia (newphiladelphiachurch.com). We will be based at the Native Partners for World Mission (NPWM) Cambodia Missions Center, which shares a complex with a children’s home called “New Hope for Orphans.” Our team will be training the youth there in evangelism and ministering with them through dance outreaches and revival services.
Through these outreaches we are going to share our love of Jesus with the people of Phnom Penh and display His love for the Cambodian people. I am so excited to be a part of this trip and I am really looking forward to building relationships with these youth and seeing the healing and transforming power of Jesus at work in their lives.
It is my hope that you would share in my excitement for this trip. I would like to ask you to partner with me as I am sent out on this mission. Firstly, I would like to ask for your prayers. Your prayers are powerful and effective and are just as important for this trip as the team members. During the mission there will be daily updates on our team’s progress on New Philadelphia’s Facebook page (facebook.com/newphilly) so you can know specifically what to pray for. In the lead up, please pray that God will be preparing the hearts of the Cambodian people to receive his word and for me personally, that God would increase my faith for miraculous physical healings.
Secondly, I would like to ask for your financial support. The total cost of the trip is 1,200,000 Korean Won. In faith I have sown in a personal deposit to partially cover the cost of the trip and will be raising an additional 600,000 Korean Won (approx AU$600) to cover some of the expenses.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter! If you have any questions, or want to know more about the trip, please feel free to contact me.
