Hello!
I hope this letter finds you well! This year has been quite an adventure for me. I have been stretched and challenged a lot, but I have grown so much. However, the year is not yet finished, and I believe that there is still more stretching and growing for me to do. As you may have heard, New Philly is getting ready to send out missions for late 2016/early 2017. There are so many amazing testimonies of what God has done through New Philly’s short term missions trips, and I’m really looking forward to what God is going to do through missions in this season!
However nice hearing amazing stories is, seeing, doing, and participating in those stories is a completely different ballgame. Up until now, I have never been on any kind of missions trip myself, so I am excited to announce that from December 26 to 31 I will be part of a team going to Chennai, INDIA! My team will consist of 13, including myself. We will be visiting local churches, schools and villages to reach out and minister to people of different castes and simply to share the love of our Father and pray for them.
I’m also excited to extend an invitation for you to partner with me in the work God is going to do. The first way you can partner with me is through covering me and my team with prayer. The covering of prayer is essential to our trip. The battles we face on the mission field are spiritual in nature, and prayer is the way that we fight them! If you would like to commit to praying for me and my team, please let me know! I will be sending out emails with specific prayer requests and praise reports!
The second way you can partner with me is by sowing into our trip financially. I am personally contributing a portion of the cost, but still need to raise a total of about 1,125,000 KRW(a little under 1,000 USD), to cover trip expenses.
