Dear family and friends,
Greetings and blessings! I am writing to share of an opportunity to serve again on the mission field. I, along with a team comprised of members of other English ministries in Seoul, will be sent to a city in China near the enkay border to primarily teach TOEFL. Though we will do no direct ministry with the students, we hope to be a light to them and to set them up for encounters in the future. While there, we will be in direct contact with enkay field workers, many of whom I’ve had the privilege of meeting and serving in my previous trip to the same area.
In my personal life, the last year has been a challenge in a number of ways, but also a huge blessing. Despite life’s difficulties, I find myself in a state of supernatural peace and joy. I’ve known no greater peace and contentment in the Lord than I have in the past year. Truly, I find myself swimming deeper and deeper in God’s grace and being swept away in the river (Ezekiel 47:1-12). In His grace, I find myself wanting more and more to do the work of His kingdom despite what I go through.
I can’t say that I received an audible call from God to go on this trip, nor any great signs. But as I think and pray about it, I hear a faint whisper and a tugging at my heart. As I gain a greater understanding of the concerns of God, I understand that He wants us to go, bless, minister to, and equip those on the front lines. I hope that you will partner with me in my mission. There are two ways you can do so. First, I'd like to ask for your prayer. Please pray for God to prepare our hearts rightly, that we may carry His heart for the field workers. Also, pray that God would set up divine appointments. And pray also that God would give each of us who are going to serve a greater heart for what God is doing in the region.
Secondly, you can partner with me through financial giving. I will be raising 1,000,000 krw ($898) for my trip. The total cost is 1,500,000 krw ($1346). I will be sowing in a personal contribution of 500,000 krw ($448). Thank you for reading.
