I’m really excited to be writing this letter! It signifies a jumpstart to a new season; a season that is unlike any other and the beginning of an epic journey of God’s love and power. In this year’s missions season, we have a vision of sending out teams on a wider scale to twelve different countries. I am part of an earlier wave that will be going at the end of December. Even though I’ve been on several mission trips with New Philly before, this will be my first time going as a team preacher to New Delhi! I’m nervous, but excited to see God outdo Himself this time. New Delhi 2014 was an awesome and powerful time, but as God says He takes us from glory to glory, He is basically saying there is more. I’m expectant for His glory to fall in India!
Looking back, my last trip to India was definitely a training ground and a set up for me in this season. I think if I did not have that experience, I would be nervous and hesitant to preach in a nation that strongly emphasizes men and looks down on women. However, I know that God is sending me out in such a time as this! I know that the devil comes to oppose, but in the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me to preach the good news! The Isaiah 61 anointing has been taking a deeper meaning for me this season and I know that as I walk by the Spirit of this verse, that no opposition can stand in my way because the Lord is upon me. I humbly ask for your support for me in two ways: 1) Prayer. India is a very spiritual nation and there are heavy spiritual attacks that occur if we are not alert and in tune with the Spirit. I ask for partnership in prayer for me, especially the days I’m out in the field and I ask that you consecrate December 27-January 3 and cover my team and specifically me as I am preaching. 2) Finances. I need a total of 1,500,000 won ($1,5000) and I ask for you not only to sow into my trip through prayer, but also through finances.
