“Praise be to the Lord my Rock,

who trains my hands for war,

my fingers for battle.” - Psalm 144:1

Dear family and friends,

Greetings and blessings! I'm writing to share about an exciting opportunity that I have to serve on the mission field. I will be part of a special mission trip to an undisclosed location to minister to those who are directly involved with working in enkay. We will be leading a retreat and I will be playing the percussion as part of the praise team.

This will be my third short-term mission trip with New Philadelphia Church. Missions trips with my church are always powerful and God shows up in wondrous and miraculous ways. I'm expecting nothing less for this trip. Every month, New Philadelphia hosts a joint prayer meeting, in which the English speaking congregations of the city gather to pray for things on God's heart. As this has been continuing every month for 5 years, there has been a great stirring and anticipation for God's will to be done on this peninsula. Though everything in the news would suggest that there is no hope for reunification, we know that it is happening. I believe that as more and more doors open up to enkay, our community will be heavily involved and have major impact in future developments. This is a small step towards that.

Personally, I believe that God has brought me to this nation for a reason. Part of the reason was to be integrated into this community, but I wouldn't be surprised if God had greater things in store for me in enkay. For now, I am happy to be sent on this trip. Our church's vision is “to raise up an army of mighty warriors who will go out in the anointing of the Holy Spirit to bind up the brokenhearted and proclaim freedom for the captives.” (Isaiah 61:1). Spiritually, we are a mighty army. Fully equipped with the armor of God, we few soldiers are sent to do damage to the kingdom of darkness. In the last year, I've been trained up as a percussionist and I've grown tremendously as a musician. Drumming is my spiritual weapon: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” - 2 Corinthians 10:4. As I play every week, through the music, I am breaking down the works of the enemy, pulling down strongholds, and battling in the spirit. And now as I am sent, God will use me to oppose the works of the enemy and set people free.

I hope that you will partner with me in my mission. There are two ways you can do so. First, I'd like to ask for your prayer. Secondly, I will be raising $700 for my trip. The total cost is $950. I will be sowing in a personal contribution of $250. If you'd like to contribute, please visit http://support.newphilly.cc/en/fareast2014 and you can support me directly there. Thank you for reading.

Sincerely,
