Dear family and friends,
I am very excited to share with you about a missions trip that I will have the privilege to be serving in this winter season. Through my church called New Philadelphia Church (http://newphiladelphiachurch.com), I have been given the opportunity to be sent back to my own country, the Philippines and minister to my fellow Filipinos.
From January 23 to 30, along with a powerful team of 12 people, we will be serving in a city called General Santos City. If you know a little bit about the geography of the Philippines, you know that the country is divided into three regions called Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Mindanao, which is where General Santos City is located, is home to a sizeable Muslim population. As it is the region in the Philippines with a significant Muslim presence, Christians in this area constantly face heavy persecution because of their faith. Which is why our team will be going to Faith Tribal Ministry to strengthen and encourage the pastors who oversee churches and disciple people from the remote tribes of Mindanao. Our team will also minister to the students of Faith Bible College, hold revival services, and pray for the sick. As this is my very first missions trip ever, I think it will be such a meaningful experience for me to especially see the advancement of God’s Kingdom in my own country.
I would like to invite you to partner with me in this missions trip. There are two ways in which you can do so. First and foremost, I would like to ask for your prayer. Please pray for God to release his power to heal, refresh and strengthen the people we will be ministering to. Please also pray for covering for our team throughout the whole trip. Secondly, I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me through your finances. The total cost of the trip is 1,250,000 krw. I will be personally contributing 420,000 krw, but will be raising support for the rest.
