Update 4 - Building Up the Kuki Churches

February 3, 2011
Hey everyone!

Today is Thursday 3pm (Feb 3) in India and we apologize for not updating since Sunday evening.  My iPhone doesn't pickup the internet here in Manipur so I haven't been able to send out updates! I finally got internet through one of the church leaders today. This update will summarize the last 4 days so it may be a bit long.

A brief background: The Manipur region is dominated by three main ethnic groups. The Kukis, the Nagas, and the Meitei.  The Kuki and Nagas look very Mongolian and thus they love Korean culture.  The area has seen a lot of bloodshed, insurgency, and terrorism over the years.  Since our last visit two years ago, there has been a lot of peace. We are working with the Kuki people here.

Monday in Manipur
After arriving in Manipur, we led a Monday Night service at the Kuki people's version of the Joint Prayer Meeting.  The team gave words of knowledge and we saw ten people 100% healed. I preached on "Newness of Spirit" and then we prayed for a lady with heart and bone marrow disease. She started manifesting demonically and we prayed for her til she was back in peace. The people came up to me afterwards and was in amazement at how my sermon was exactly what their apostle/pastor has been preaching over the last year.  It was a confirmation for them.

Tuesday - 1st Night of the Revival
On Tuesday morning, we visited Pastor Letlal's hometown and ministered to the children and staff of a brand new school that was established. On Tuesday evening, Mark and Diana Suk led us in worship and then Mathew Wachtor shared his testimony. I preached on "Shalom" at the first night of a 3 night revival that they prepared for us here. We got massively attacked and afterwards we realized that we were underprepared. Nevertheless we had a dozen people come fwd to break off unforgiveness from their lives and saw 13 people 100% healed from various conditions. One girl had blurriness in both eyes and was instantly healed!

Wed - 2nd Night of the Revival
On Wed morning, we had a children's ministry for the Imphal city children.  About 70 children gathered as Diana Suk led a joyful time of ministry.  We were blessed when the children expressed afterwards that it was the most fun they ever had in their lives! On Wed evening, we went early to the revival service and took time to pray. We also prayed for our interpreter who had gotten massively attacked by a spirit of fear the previous night. We spoke life and identity over her. At the service, Mark Yu and Diana set a powerful atmosphere of worship and then Suzie shared her testimony of a healing she saw earlier in the day. Afterwards we laid hands and saw 6 people 100% healed.  Then Erin preached a wonderful sermon on "Claiming Our New Identity".  The interpreter was much brighter and clearer than the previous night and the message was so good that people spontaneously clapped several times during the preaching! During the altar call, we prayed for people struggling with depression or fear and as the team prayed, people were getting slain in the Spirit left and right.  We had 5 people manifest demonically and we did our best to heal them.

Thurs - Final Night of the Revival
Today morning (Thurs), we joined a dedication service for the establishment of "Apostolic Ministries" by Pastor Stephen, an apostle.  We saw a video where we saw Pastor Stephen moving in signs and wonders and deliverance.  We were concerned how a very "Baptist" and conservative church culture here would accept his ministry.  But with distinguished pastors and city officials present, it was clear that they were actually very open. I went up and preached on the "Restoration of the Apostle Office" and honored and established what God is doing through Pastor Stephen.  It was a fabulous time! That was today.

Prayer Requests
1) Our final revival service is about to take place in 2 hours (India time, Thurs Feb 3, 5pm which is around Korea 8pm). Pray for me as I preach and pray for a mighty outpouring on the Kuki people here in Manipur.  Pray for FIRE!
2) Some of the people who manifested demonically were not fully delivered yesterday, pray that there will be a deliverance anointing to bring full freedom for them.
3) Pray for our final day (Friday) which will be in Delhi tomorrow.  We are still deciding on how to spend the last day.  Pray for greater intimacy within the team!

All 13 team members are in perfect health and doing great!  Inoh is doing a great job leading the team and many team members are moving prophetically.  Thank you for your prayers, we are having a blast here and each person is receiving so many personal revelations, breakthroughs, and answered prayers.

Sincerely,
~ Pastor Christian
