Dear friends,
What a journey it has been since graduating college! It’s crazy to think that I’ve been in Korea for almost 3 years! During my second year of teaching second grade at an international school, I went to India for a winter missions trip with New Philadelphia Church which changed my life. I was able to tangibly see and sense the power of God manifesting through miracles, signs, and wonders. Testimonies of healings with physical ailments and diseases, mental illnesses, and fillings of the Holy Spirit were proclaimed. As I personally encountered spiritual warfare during the latter part of this trip, it completely shifted my understanding of the incredible power of worship and speaking out the Truth. Soon after, I joined staff at New Philadelphia Church as a full-time administrator.
This summer on July 20-27, I have the privilege of going to minister in Indonesia and to empower the pastors of Native Partners of World Missions. My team consists of 13 dynamic leaders and Emmaus college students. Please pray for us as we train, depart, minister, and return in full health, safety, and anointing.
According to Wikipedia, Indonesia's national motto is "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" ("Unity in Diversity" literally, "many, yet one"). Despite their turbulent history of colonialism, corruption, and rebellion, Indonesia arose as the world’s fourth largest populous country with the domination of Muslims. Interestingly, this nation has abundant natural resources, yet poverty remains widespread. It is my desire to see these beautifully diverse people unite together being overwhelmed by God’s love and struck with power of the Holy Spirit.
