How’s it going! I hope this letter finds you well. I just wanted to share with you a bit about the missions trip I will be going on this summer.
From July 20 to July 27, I’ll be in Indonesia with the missions team from my church, “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com). A team of 13 devoted members, we will be hosting revivals, visiting church plants, sharing gifts and medicine, and praying for the sick.
For decades Indonesia has been plagued with a motley of problems, including religious and ethnic conflict, as well as natural disasters. Indonesia is an "Islamic democracy" but one in which certain liberties barely exists as Christians and ethnic minorities have been the target of many violent acts. On this missions trip I want our team to bring fresh revival to Indonesian churches, be a witness of the gospel, and to walk in signs and wonders. “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” (Isaiah 61:1 NIV).
