“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self control.” 2 Timothy 1:6-7
God’s goodness continues to just overwhelm me and I pray that this letter finds you in the same place of thanksgiving. 2011 has been an amazing year so far and it just seems to be getting better and better. The Lord has graciously opened up more doors for me to be used by Him and I’m simply blown away by His faithfulness. As I’ve been preaching, teaching and directing, I’m learning that my role as a “student” is never ending. I’m continuously finding myself in a place of desperation to grow more in all areas of my life, especially ministry.
This summer I’ve been given the privilege to go on an intern swap with Living Hope Christian Center. My spiritual mentors Pastor Benjamin and Sunhee Robinson are pasturing this multicultural congregation out in Emeryville, San Francisco. From June 13th to July 6th I will be experiencing an “interactive classroom” of sorts as I serve the church in any way that’s needed.
During my stay I will also be joining a missions team that will be reaching out to the inner city youth. We will be serving the community by hosting a weeklong camp for young children to freely come and learn about Jesus! In the past this camp has seen some amazing fruit and I am blessed to be a part of it this year.
I want to invite you to partner with me as I’m being sent out. I believe what God has in store for me is not just for the benefit of myself but also for New Philadelphia Church and Emmaus Campus Ministry. I’m called to raise 1,750,000 won.
