Dear Friends,
Hello! How are you? I hope this letter finds you well! For the past two years, I’ve been in Korea teaching English and serving at my church, New Philly. Recently, the Lord has been teaching me about obedience. I have been taking various steps to obey more wholeheartedly and willingly. In the process of walking out my faith, I have found that the above Psalm to be true for me. The law, testimony, precepts, commandments, rules, and fear of the LORD are more to be desired than even fine gold!
As part of my obedience to what God is calling me to, I am going on a mission trip this summer to Jakarta, Indonesia! As you may know, Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim nation. In fact, it has the largest Muslim population in the world. The purpose of our trip will be to minister at a Bible college retreat and to strengthen the local churches in Jakarta. I’m that sure we, the missions team, will ourselves be ministered to and strengthened greatly in the process.
We will be one of five teams that our church is sending out this summer. I am very excited. This will be my second mission trip ever (last summer I went to Tokyo, Japan). Will you partner with me? The trip dates are from July 22 to July 29, and I am hoping to find some people who will be willing to pray for me (and my team) leading up to and during my trip. I am also looking for financial support. I will be raising 600,000 krw to cover some of the trip expenses (the total trip cost is 1,200,000krw. I have sown a personal deposit and must raise the remaining amount).
