Hello family and friends! I can’t believe how much God has been teaching me here in Seoul. I’m so blessed to be a part of a loving church community and privileged to go on my first missions trip ever!!!!
From July 22 to July 29, I will be in Jakarta, Indonesia serving on a missions trip with my church from Korea, New Philadelphia Church (newphiladelphiachurch.com). My team consists of 10 servant-hearted people who are giving up their vacation days and free time to go to the nation and display the love of Jesus Christ. We will be leading an Orientation Retreat for the students of IKAT Bible College, ministering to the students of Jakarta, and sowing seeds of faith into this nation.
This is my first missions trip and I am very excited! If you are aware of the history of Indonesia, you know that it is the largest Muslim country in the world. Islam has been dominant in Indonesia since the nation’s birth and has seeped into Indonesian politics, government and culture. It is our prayer that the gospel will revive the land and release truth and zeal for the Lord.

안녕하세요! 다들 잘 지내고 계신가요? 하나님 안의 기쁨과 건강이 가득하길 바랍니다. 다름이 아니라 제가 이번 여름에 가서 섬길 선교활동에 대해 나누고자해서 이렇게 편지를 드립니다.
저는 이번 7월 22일 부터 7월 29일까지 제가 이 곳 한국에서 섬기고 있는 교회인 New Philadelphia Church (www.newphiladelphiachurch.com)의 소속으로 인도 자카르타로 선교활동을 가게 되었습니다. 제가 속해 있는 이 선교팀의 모든 사람들은 예수 그리스도의 사랑을 전하기 위해 각자의 방학, 휴가 등을 다 하나님께 내려놓고, 이번 선교에 임하게 되었습니다. 저희는 IKAT 신학 대학교에서 공부하고 있는 학생들을 위해 수련회를 열고, 자카르타의 학생들에게 복음을 전함으로써, 인도에 믿음의 씨앗을 심으려고 합니다.
이번이 제 선교활동의 첫 시작이며, 저는 벌써 정말 기대됩니다. 제가 선교를 떠나는 인도의 역사에 대해 조금이라도 들어보셨다면, 인도가 전 세계적으로 가장 큰 무슬림 지역이라는 것을 아실 것입니다. 이슬람세력은 인도라는 국가의 기원부터 인도를 지배해 왔으며, 정치적, 경제적, 문화적으로까지 그 세력을 키워오고 있습니다. 이러한 인도를 향해, 저희는 복음이 이 땅의 부흥을 불러 일으킴으로써, 하나님을 향한 열정과 진실이 드러나기를 기도제목으로 삼고 있습니다.
