Thanks for taking the time to read this letter. I will be starting 2015 with a bang, as I will be sent by New Philadelphia Church (NPC) in Seoul, Korea and ECF here in Melbourne, to Jakarta, Indonesia! From 26 January to 2 February, I will be going with a team of 10 other amazing people to visit local church congregations and the students of IKAT Theological Seminary to fellowship, pray and encourage them as much as we can. NPC has an on going relationship with this Seminary and the local Native Pastors for World Mission (NPWM) churches as other teams have also been sent out to these same communities in the past. I am excited to go and build upon the seeds that have already been sown to further encourage the students, who will be reaching the different tribal and ethnic communities of Indonesia. Even though the calling is tough, I really hope to be used by God to love them and empower them to walk out their calling with boldness and faith.
As you know, Islam remains the prominent religion in Indonesia, but I believe that God will use the youth of this nation to bring about revival and healing through their faithfulness and obedience. Could you partner with me in prayer? Prayer covering is a vital aspect of this trip. Together I believe God will use us to fan into flame the gift of God in many lives. Please pray for myself, the team and the people we are to meet in Jakarta. As it says, “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”, I know your prayers will release God’s power over this trip.
Also, I would like to invite you to partner with me financially. This trip will cost a total of approximately $1,350 AUD, half of which I will need to raise ($675 AUD).
