Dear Friends,
こにちは(Hi)! I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to share with you an exciting opportunity that has come up for me this summer in the land of Japan!
As you may or may not know, one of the main ministries of my church, “New Philadelphia” (newphilly.cc) is to send out teams of fire-filled servant-hearted people to the nations to minister and serve the different ministries and to reach out to both the saved and unsaved. This summer our church is sending out three teams and I am so grateful to be apart of the missions team that will be sent out to Japan! From July 11 to July 21, our team will be on a vision tour in Japan and we will also be evangelizing and taking part in the relief work in northeastern Japan. We will be working along side Tim Huber, an American missionary, who has been ministering in Japan for 15 years.
Japan has had a very dark and tragic past and is still one of the largest unreached people group in this world. They have also recently experience a devastating earthquake that they are still feeling the effects of. But that doesn’t mean God doesn’t have a plan of restoration, healing and good for them! I hope to go and share the love of Jesus Christ and the HOPE that we have through Him!
I cannot even begin to explain to you how excited I am! My heart has always been in East Asia and after living in Korea, visiting China on a vision trip last summer, I cannot wait to see what God has in store for our team in Japan this summer! I truly believe that God wants to do something amazing with and between Korea, China, and Japan very soon and am hoping that God will give us a sneak peek as we go around, seeing the land and meeting the Japanese people on this vision tour!
I hope you share the excitement and hope that I have for Japan! I would like to ask you for your prayers! Not only for protection and covering but that God will also use our team to reach out to the lost and be effective ministers on the field. Your prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16) and I know that I can serve even more confidently knowing that my brothers and sisters are praying for me!
