How are you? I hope everything is well with you and your family. Here I would like to share about a mission trip I will be going on during the summer.
From July 11 to 18, I will be in Japan doing some relief work and evangelizing with a team from my church, “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com). I am very thrilled to be on this team! As you know, Japan went through a painful event that took place in March of this year. The tsunami and earthquake that occurred caused unbearable damage to the land. There has been over 18,000 deaths that were recorded and many are in need of shelters still. We would like to go to the land and provide comfort and relief to the people there. It is our prayer that our God, Jehovah Shalom, will provide peace so profound, overcoming all suffering in the land. Statistics show that Japan is the largest unreached people group, and it does not have a large population of Christians. It is our prayer that with us we will bring the presence of the Lord and that His glory falls in whatever place we reach and minister to.
I’m excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead. I hope that you can share this enthusiasm and joy with me. Also, join me in seeing the value behind what will be accomplished. I would like to ask you for your prayer support as our team ministers in Japan. Prayer is the fuel for anything to be happening in our ministry. Please partner with me in prayer during this time. Also, as you can imagine, such a trip like this requires financial support. I must individually raise 350,000 won. If you can support me in a financial way, I would be very grateful.
