He has sent [us] to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives,
and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1)
Dear Friend!
I hope this letter finds you well, healthy, and happy! It’s been six years since I have been living in Korea, and I am so thankful for your friendship. Growing older, I realize that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without your support, love, and encouragement. Thanks for being a part of my life! I want to take this time to update you and also share with you about my plans this summer.
As you know, I work as the administrator at my church New Philadelphia here in Seoul (newphiladelphiachurch.com). This means a whole lot of little tasks, overseeing people, event planning, and getting things done. Sometimes I find myself getting carried away in all the things that I need to do. Amidst all the work, God is teaching me that Love and relationship are the most important things in advancing the Kingdom of God and being examples of Christ’s love.
This Summer, I will be doing just that. A team of 13 people and I will be going to Malaysia to love them with Christ’s love. From July 21 to 28, we will be traveling the jungles of an island called Borneo. We will be holding revival services, praying for the sick, and preaching the gospel. We're praying for God's Kingdom to be established in Malaysia!
I hope that you will share in my enthusiasm for what God is doing in Malaysia. In past trips, prayers have been key in doing God’s Kingdom work. Would you partner with me in this way? Additionally, I need to raise 1,300,000 krw (about $1200) to cover the remainder of my trip costs. To contribute, please visit http://support.newphilly.cc or see the enclosed paper form.
Thank you for reading!
Advancing His Kingdom through Love,
