“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your GOD is with you wherever you go.”
-Joshua 1:9
Dear Reader,
Shalom to you! How are you? I hope that God has continually been blessing you and your family, taking you to deeper levels of His love and intimacy! By God’s grace, I have the opportunity to share with you about a missions trip that I’ll be serving in this winter. According to Joshua Project, Nepal’s primary religion is Hinduism with 93.3% of all people groups considered unreached.
From January 25th to February 1st, I will be in Nepal serving on a missions trip with my church “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com). My team consists of ten servant-hearted people who are giving up their vacation days and free time to go to this nation and display the love of Jesus Christ. The main focus of our ministry will be to bring revival to the youth, in addition to encouraging the local pastors and missionaries.
Will you join me in reaching Nepal? There are two ways in which you can partner with me on this missions trip. First, I’d like to ask you for prayer. If you go to facebook.com/newphilly, there will be daily updates from the field of our team’s progress so you can pray specifically. Secondly, I will be raising 1,900,000 KRW to cover some of the trip expenses. If you’d like to help, please visit the website: http://support.newphilly.cc
One passage I want to remind you of when it comes to giving financially is from Mark 12, where Jesus sees the poor widow who gave two copper coins. This passage reminds us that Jesus looks at our hearts when giving and not the exact value amount. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21).
Thank you for reading all this way! I am really excited that God has given me this opportunity to partner with you! God bless you!
Until the Whole World Hears,
David Ahn
