Hi! It is missions season again! And, I’m excited to take this opportunity to share with you about a trip that I will be serving on this winter. From February 4 to February 11, I will be in Malaysia serving on a missions trip with New Philadelphia Church (newphiladelphiachurch.com). My team consists of 13 people who are taking their vacation days to go to this nation and display the love of Jesus Christ.
This trip to Malaysia will be my fourth missions trip with New Philadelphia Church. In the summer of 2011, I went to Bangladesh and saw over 1000 salvations. In the summer of 2012, I went to Myanmar and helped to edify and equip Bible College students for ministry. In the fall of 2012, I went to the Philippines to the first ever NPWM Youth Conference in the Philippines! God has grown my heart so quickly for missions. I intend to go whenever an opportunity arises!
In the summer of 2011, New Philly sent a missions team to Malaysia. Amongst the 2011 team, there was a lot of breakthrough in intimacy and in their families. On the field, the team established relationships with the communities during the day. At night, they held revival services. The local congregation was especially blessed by this as many of them had been abandoned by their families for following Christ.
In February, our team will continue to build on the relationships already established amongst the native pastors and congregations. I expect to go deeper in intimacy and to see greater signs and wonders performed. More than anything, I pray that the love of Christ would be shown to the people we serve and that they would grow deeper in their relationship with God.
As God is always doing a new thing (Is 43:19), our team eagerly awaits the particular “thing,” that God has in store for our trip to Malaysia.
Personally, I want to develop greater intimacy with God, with my team and with the local community through this trip. I have set my heart on walking in humility by putting others first. I look forward to growing and getting more deeply established as a worshiper in all that I do. Everything is an act of worship!
God has proven faithful in giving me the opportunity to go to Malaysia. Going on missions this summer is truly a desire of my heart. I hope that you share in my enthusiasm and joy at this opportunity. At this time, I’d like to ask you for your prayers.
