Dear Friends,
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to take this time to share with you a mission trip which I will be joining this summer.
I am excited to be given with the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Malaysia with my church “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com) from July 21-28, 2011. Our team will consist of 14 Holy Spirit-led soldiers of God who have a burning desire to display the love of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to the nation of Malaysia. When in Malaysia, we will be hosting revival services at local churches as well as ministering through dance, music and praying for the sick.
Although the Malaysian constitution assures freedom of religion, Islam is the state religion. According to a Malaysian census, only 9% of the population are Christians, with the rest either being other religions or no religion. I believe God wants to transform this nation for His glory. As we go forth as carriers of God’s presence, our prayer is that the culture of the kingdom of God will be established and that this nation will experience a spiritual awakening. Psalm 2:8 says, “Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”
I sincerely ask you to partner with me in this mission trip. First of all, you can be involved by praying for my team members and me. I would like to ask you to pray for the protection of our health and safety. I am asking that you will stand with me in agreement and declaration that if God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31). Furthermore, please pray that the hearts of those who hear the good news of Jesus Christ will turn from hearts of stone to hearts of flesh (Ezkiel 36:26). May their hearts be captured by the love of God. Lastly, I need to raise 525,000 won in order to go to Malaysia. This money will cover parts of the flight ticket and living expenses on this trip. I greatly appreciate your support both in prayer and in finances. Thank you for your time and consideration.
