Dear family, friends, and other supporters:
I am giving you this letter, because I desire to share with you
what God is doing in my life. Also, I’d really love for you to
participate and be a part of this journey. I’m already getting
excited about sending you later updates, because I know there are
going to be powerful stories and maybe even miracles you’ve never
thought you could be part of. It’s exhilarating! So here is how
this story begins…
“I want to be sent, Lord!” When my church, New Philadelphia, made
the announcement for this winter missions season, I felt a
desperate longing upon my heart to be sent this year. Every year,
our church trains up and sends out short-term teams to other
nations to minister, teach, encourage, and help local churches
and communities through our network with Native Partners for
World Missions.
Last year, our church sent a team to Nepal, soon after a series
of huge earthquakes. The people were still recovering from shock,
literally their nation had been shaken from under them. After the
devastation, the nation felt hopeless; they literally had to
start all over again. The team came releasing seeds of
hope.
This year, we are also sending a team to Nepal. And… I’M GOING!!!
From December 26th ~ 31st, I will be serving with a team of 12
people. We will be mainly located in Kathmandu, the capital of
Nepal, and partnering with Pastor Saul Shrestha. Our ministry
will involve evangelism and revival services at Pastor Saul’s
newly planted church and at other villages close to Kathmandu.
I’m excited to see how much the seeds of hope have grown this
past year and look forward to see and partner with the heart and
movement of God.
I would like to ask you to consider partnering with me in prayer
and finances. I’ll be sending updates about Nepal, what we will
be doing, and specific areas we’ll need prayer for while
ministering there. I also need to raise 1,200,00krw (about 1,050
