Shalom! I hope you are starting this new year of 2011 with a great hope, joy and excitement in God. I wanted to take this time to share with you about a missions trip that I’ll be serving in this winter.
From January24 to February1, I will be in the Philippines with 12 people who long to display the love of Jesus to the nation, serving on a missions trip with my church “New Philadelphia” (www.newphilly.cc). We will be visiting church plants in various towns and cities, giving out gifts and medicine, praying for the sick, and hosting revival services.
As I was praying and preparing for this missions trip, God allowed me to have an eye-opening and beautiful experience that I’d like to share with you. The institute I work for is located in a mountain area (Buk-han Mountain). I love to go up to the mountain during the lunch break and pray, surrounded by the nature. Two weeks ago, I was up on the mountain to pray as usual. I was worshiping God in His sweet presence, and when it reached a climax, I started to make decrees that the mountain belongs to Him, taking the spiritual ownership of the area. I could sense that there was quite a warfare going on against the decrees, but I was standing on the ground of rest, joy and peace with God. And then right after the decrees were made, halleluiah, I HEARD the heaven shouting for joy, cheering with such great excitement. Before then, yes, I knew that our declaration and intercession have power and bring changes, but I have to say that it was a brand new and super encouraging experience for me to hear the heaven responding to the decrees I make!
In the same way, I believe God wants our team to make decrees that is in agreement with heaven to change the land of the Philippines. Just like the bible verse above, our team will boldly step into the land and preach good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, and bestow on the people a crown of beauty instead of ashes. That meanswe will see a lot of salvations, healings, signs and wonders breaking out there for the Word of God is the result itself.
Will you join me in this missions trip with your heart and prayer? This is the 7th missions trip in my life, and from my past experiences that I was delivered from the danger of a poisonous snake and severe illnesses during the trip, I know very clearly that prayer covering is so much more important than any other things. I would like to recruit you to partner with me in prayer during my time in the field. Satan will be on the attack but I’m asking that you will stand with me in declaring Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against us shall prosper! Also, in order to go, I must individually raise 700,000 krw. A form is included for you to consider helping in this way. Thank you for reading.
